CoolSculpting® Treatment: How It Works
CoolSculpting® treatment gently removes fat from areas (the abdomen, flanks and back) that often don't respond to diet and exercise. It works by cooling fat cells, which triggers a process of natural fat-cell removal that gradually reduces the thickness of layers of fat.
During the CoolSculpting procedure, a specially designed cooling applicator is used on the area being treated. Without damaging other tissue, the applicator cools fat cells by using vacuum pressure to draw tissue between its cooling panels. Treatment-area fat cells are gradually eliminated through the body's normal metabolic processes. During the procedure, you can read, listen to music or simply relax.
One of the great things about the CoolSculpting procedure is that, unlike more-invasive methods of fat removal, it doesn't require incisions, needles or any type of anesthesia. You're able to return to your daily activities immediately after your treatment session is over.
